This page is to track the interactions with individual animals requiring the use of equipment, such as clippers or sprays:
25th March – put some spot-on onto Boris – she’s itching a lot and has lice. Hopefully it will sort it out for her.
18th March – trimmed and sprayed Boris’ hooves. One had quite bad scald, the others were in good shape.
19th February – treated white-faced Suffolk in home field for footrot on her back left hoof.
11th February – trimmed Boris’ hooves and treated them for footrot. The front two were fairly bad, the others were fine. Treated Ishy for footrot as well, she had one hoof which was relatively bad, the others were fine. Looked at White Face’s front hooves, but couldn’t see any problems.
22nd Janaury – trimmed Boris’ hooves and treated them for footrot/scald. She’d been limping, but the scald wasn’t too bad on that foot and very minor on the others.
14th January – trimmed all four of Ishy’s hooves. All rather overgrown!
1st January – trimmed and sprayed all four of Boris’ hooves. She had bad scald on three of them.
7th December – trimmed and sprayed all four of Boris’ hooves, and one of Moby’s. Injected them both with antibiotic.
2nd December – injected Suffolk with H with anitbiotic
29th November – used foot bath to treat footrot in: Suffolk with H (all four hooves), Boris, Howard, Ishy and Moby (one hoof each)
30th October – blue sprayed Ishy’s front right hoof to mitigate scald.
22nd October – injected antibiotics to mitigate footrot/scald in: Boris, Bertie, Suffolk with H and a black faced Suffolk, and a Soay ewe (possibly Lafite) who had quite bad footrot on her front hoof, we also trimmed her hooves and sprayed them with blue antibiotic. Also moved last ewe lamb from home field, where she was in with Muga, to the small field.
21st October – moved four lambs, two male and two female into small field with cows.
20th October – moved Mule/Soay cross ewe into small field with cows.
16th October – splashed Wrath’s wound with Dettol to help clean it. Separated lambs, and crutched eight of them. Trimmed hooves and treated for footrot: Ishy, Boris and Bertie.
10th – 26th October – Sprayed antiseptic on Wrath’s wound.
9th October – trimmed footrot on Suffolk ewe with double H. Sprayed antiseptic on Wrath’s wound.
8th October – caught and moved lambs and ewes around. Marked girl lambs with circle and x, and boy lambs with a croix de lorraine.
4th October – trimmed Boris and Moby’s hooves, and treated for footrot.
26th September – trimmed Ishy’s hooves and treated her for footrot.
22nd September – trimmed hooves and treated for footorot: 2 Soay ewes, Luke, Muga, White Face and another Mule ewe, two Suffolk ewes, and Bertie. Cliked Luke, one Suffolk ewe, White Face and the other Mule ewe. Marked all except one Suffolk ewe (who had already been marked with a double H) with a triangle.
16th September – trimmed hooves and sprayed for footrot on Boris.
10th September – trimmed hooves and treated for footrot, and Cliked, two Suffolk ewes, six Soay ewes and Muga. Trimmed hooves and treated footrot for Bertie.
3rd September – trimmed Ishy’s hooves and treated all four for foot rot with tetracyclin. Trimmed and treated one of Mouton’s feet for footrot, also using tetracyclin.
